Nowadays many people over the world are isolated from nature. They often do not notice any connection between their way of life, behaviour, consumption and those negative changes that occur in the environment at all levels - from local to global. Everyday ecology of our planet is deteriorating.
Few people are interested to preserve and protect the natural environment. The main focus of this inter-cultural exchange is to work together as a group and raise the awareness of this problem first between peers and participants of the project and afterward to our local societies. Despite the fact, there are lots of project addressing environmental problems. Still it is not enough and still, people who live in deplorable conditions need support and involvement in solving environmental issues, which are harmful effects of human activities on the biophysical environment.
The project’s direct target group is youth 13-30 years old. Understanding that the next generation will basically design our future, as well as the future of a whole planet. Someday, they will be independent decision-makers, educators, and, who knows, maybe they will once become a worldwide known policy-maker. What we are teaching, showing, motivating them today will undoubtedly affect their future day-to-day life choices and eco Friendly habits. Plus, teaching and showing them how to lead a sustainable and eco-friendly lifestyle will learn them to take responsibility for their actions and maintain a healthier planet. So, maybe it’s the perfect time to focus on preparing them for the changing world and environment.
We worked on raising public interest towards environmental challenges of our planet. Youth are encouraged to participate and carry out environmental projects in local communities in the area of environmental advocacy and environmental education. The project promotes environmental inclusion, know how to prevent pollution, spread the information about environmental problems to the local community. Objectives: - Provide participants with the necessary skills, knowledge, and attitudes on inclusion of young people in activities which are connected to environmental issues; - Share opinions, approaches, experience, and information on environmental situation and issues among participating countries by methods of non-formal education and learning from each other; - Find ways how to solve environmental problems in each country; - Promote healthy lifestyle activities for young people, in terms of environmental protection; - Raise awareness about recycling through artistic activities and workshops among young people; - Increase the awareness about environmental pollution and its effect on our health; - Give young people an example of cooperation on the international level and encourage them to undertake similar activities in the future;
Rural youth in active social environmental activities FOR spreading eco-thinking. Protect our nature, our health and reduce pollution by recycling, converting waste materials into new products to prevent waste of potentially useful materials, reducing the consumption of fresh raw materials, reducing energy usage, air and water pollution.
The program promotes tolerance, pluralism, respect, exchange ‘best practice Experiences of multicultural societies and encourages cross-border cooperation.
